On Wednesday, October 1,
2008, The First United
Methodist Church of Fulton
kicked off a new and
exciting ministry when it
joined forces with St. Pauly
Textile to help distribute
used clothing to the needy.
St. Pauly is a local family owned,
Western New York Based
Company and is a member of the
Better Business Bureau. The
mission of St. Pauly is to assist
local community organizations in
their fundraising needs while
helping out as many people as
possible all over the world.
St. Pauly collects usable clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts,
purses, linens, blankets and drapes and distributes them in the
US and all over the world. In 2007 alone, more than 38 million
garments were distributed to an estimated 3.5 million people.
St. Pauly has worked with more
than 300 non-profit community
organizations within the past year,
including local charities, schools,
churches, youth groups, fire and
ambulance teams and scout troops
to help them achieve a portion of
their fundraising needs. In 2007
alone, St. Pauly distributed more
than $470,000 to non – profit groups
in Western New York.
St. Pauly works with clothing closets and outreach missions in
the 20 – county area as well.
