Teen Girls from Fulton First United Methodist
Church traveled to Hartford Ct. for a weekend
event called Revolve. The Revolve Tour
addresses the issues facing 6th through 12th
grade girls. This event was produced by
North America’s largest women’s conference,
Women of Faith. The weekend was filled with
fun, fast-paced action- packed with
thousands of teen hearing about how much
God Loves them.
The weekend incorporated music, drama, and testimonies from an all-star line-up of
artists and speakers. Topics covered include self-esteem, faith in Christ, friendships,
and dealing with guys.
The tour talked about things girls want – and need – to hear, including: keeping It Real:
Inside & Out, The Truth About Guys, Secrets to Real Beauty, and the Inside Scoop on
Relationships .The girls said their weekend was amazing! Those who did not want to go
at first were glad they went. The testimonies they heard were real and honest and
helped the girls see they were not alone in the way they feel about themselves and
things that are happening in their lives.
They saw many popular Christian artists, which
included Hawk Nelson, KJ-52, and Natalie
Grant. The girls experienced moments with the
stars meeting Natalie Grant. NATALIE GRANT is
a "world-class singer”, she writes and sings
the songs of her life. “I can't put on airs and be
something I'm not,” Songs from Natalie's latest
recording project, Awaken, made multiple
appearances on both mainstream and Christian
charts.
They also connected with KJ-52. KJ was voted favorite hip-hop artist in the last two
CCM reader’s polls. He’s the winner of three Dove Awards for Rap/Hip Hop Album of the
Year 2004, 2005 and 2006. Throughout the weekend the girls were brushed with
Revolve artists and speakers like Chad Eastham, Laura Wilkinson, Jenna & Max Lucado,
and, Ayiesha Woods
As a result of such an amazing weekend Girls from Fulton First United Methodist
Church have formed a teen Revolve group. Girls age 15 -19 interested in joining the
Revolve group are invited to meet Thursdays at Fulton FUMC, located at 1408 State
Route 176. The group will cover teen issues and will run from 6:30 -8:00 PM. If you have
