FFUMC “Crown Church”
The First United Methodist Church of Fulton, New York, is excited to announce that it
has been named a “Crown Church”. Yvonne Mitto, Crown Financial Ministries Area
Director for the New England and Upstate NY area, states that FFUM was named
because of its continued dedication to providing Crown Financial Ministries
programs to its members and the Central New York community.
Crown was introduced to the Fulton First United Methodist Church approximately 2
years ago. Since then the Crown Team at FFUM has worked hard at heightening the
awareness of Crown Financial Ministries and what it has to offer. The Fulton First
United Methodist Church of Fulton has hosted two “Journey to True Financial
Freedom” seminars, held a Crown Financial video series study called “Discovering
God’s Way of Handling Money”, hosted a Crown “Vision Event”, held a Crown
training session for Money Map Coaches, and taught a 6 week bible based financial
program to children ages 6 to 12. Deb Smith, the church’s Crown Coordinator reports
that the church, as well as the entire community will continue to be served by
ongoing Crown programs, as well as budget coaching on an individual basis.
Upcoming events may include another seminar as well as an adult Life Group study
and perhaps additional youth programs. Ms. Smith will also continue to serve the
community as a Crown Money Map Coach.

money God’s way. Using seminars, small group studies, video series and one to one
budget coaching, there is a learning experience to accommodate individual

from pre-school to college and from young adult needs to retirees. For well over 2
decades biblical financial principles have proven to be life changing for all those
