W.O.W. or Women Obtaining Wisdom organized when interest was
expressed for a women's group at church. Women in the church were
invited to attend a Saturday morning event , Dec. 6th 2008, for an hour and
one half sharing time. Discussion centered on desire for fellowship,
opportunities for mission and having group open to all women in the
community for their participation. About a dozen people were present.
Concern was expressed about identifying ourselves with United Methodist
Women so we endeavored to come up with a new name.

Meetings will continue to be held the first Saturday of each month from 10
am to 11:30 am. Devotion, program and fellowship are mainstays of the
group.
